Wheat (lat. Triticum) is one of the oldest farm plants and its roots reach to the beginning of the agriculture itself. Its grains are used for direct consuming as a product for people (bread) or as livestock forage. According to the use, we distinguish BIO summer bread wheat and BIO summer forage wheat. Worldwide wheat is right after corn on the second place in the amount of yearly production.
Wheat is one of the most important sources of proteins, of which it contains more than corn and rice. Except for proteins, it also contains fats, carbohydrates, roughage, calcium, phosphor, iron, magnesium and vitamins B1, B2, B6 and PP.
